Our Main Priority is Your Health & Safety

With COVID-19 (Coronavirus) making national headlines and causing many changes to our lives recently, Merckling Family Chiropractic would like to assure you that your health and safety, as always, remain our top priority. Our office is considered Essential and will remain OPEN during this difficult time to serve and support our patients and the community through this crisis.

Our office is diligently following the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Department of Health regarding infection control. Our office has implemented the following policies to protect everyone:

  1. We have increased cleaning and sanitizing of our entire office including tables and all equipment in between each patient. Our office uses a medical grade commercial disinfectant on all of our tables and equipment for your safety.
  2. Each of our staff members also carefully follows the personal hygiene habits provided by the CDC, with a major emphasis on proper hand washing. Dr. Merckling is washing hands before and after each patient encounter.
  3. All staff are wearing face masks as recommended by New York State when interacting with the public.
  4. We are questioning patients upon entering the office of recent possible exposure and history of symptoms including those in the same household.
  5. All patients and staff entering the office each day are having their temperature checked and charted.
  6. We are limiting patient visits to adhere to social distancing guidelines in place. There is no waiting in the waiting room and all treatments are done in private rooms at this time.
  7. Telemedicine visits are now available, and covered by most insurance.  Using Audio and Video capabilities, Dr. Merckling can perform a history and evaluation and make recommendations including home/office treatment options and proper referral for imaging (x-ray, ultrasound or MRI) procedures or other specialists as needed.  Please contact the office to setup a time for your virtual office visit.

In order to help us keep Merckling Family Chiropractic a safe place of healing for our patients and staff, we ask anyone who is showing signs of illness, such as fever, coughing or shortness of breath to remain at home and contact the office to cancel or reschedule their appointment. Staying home and away from others when feeling sick is the best way to prevent further spread of illness through our community.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Dr Joseph Merckling and Staff
